On an October day, while in Paris, France, we drove all the way to see: Claude Monet's garden at Giverny. when we reached the village, and near the parking lot, we saw some old Citroen, reminding me of old 70s and 80s. These cars were butt of a lot of jokes back in Iran, despite the fact that they were revered in Europe due to their low petrol consumption. Iran was/is oil rich and petrol consumption has not been the top priority of Iranians.
The village itself was a fabulous typical French village. One could not take his/her eyes of the combination of mesmerizing autumn colours on the walls and the nature of the village.
One other good thing about going there in autumn was the fact that there were not many tourists around, so you could virtually have the whole village for yourself, and a few others.
The pond where Monet would have used as to paint a few of his paintings was there with all water lilies, and one wanted to paint them again. Well, I am not a painter, so I used my camera, instead!
I took this photo from a place in Garden. That reminded me of
the term "Finding mysticism in cubism", a term we always used in Persian for any art work with no clear intentions by the artist. Explaining to my half French half Persian nieces was fun.
Inside his house, one could marvel at some unique collections.
